1 For educators around the world, the COVID-19 pandemic is a distinctive challenge of adaptation and transformation, one for which there is no pre-set book or guide that can help them know suitable responses. Education leaders must swiftly design responses ? with specific contexts in mind ? as the pandemic runs its course. The aim of this research study is facilitating a design process and implementation of adaptive responses to the emerging education challenges, and to protect young people?s education during and following the pandemic. Nationwide lockdowns have affected 60% of the world's student population (UNESCO 2020) yet most schools world-wide continue teaching through e-learning and virtually. A significant but ignored concern is the psychological effect on children and adolescents.
